Town Hall of Benahavis

On the 3rd of March 2021, Eugenio Blanca, President of AGYA, (Asociación Gatos y Amigos) together with some volunteers and local legal advisors, had a first contact with Diego Guerrero, Concejal del Ayuntamiento de Benahavis, in order to evaluate the current situation of the feral colonies in the Municipality to start the application of the TNR (Trap, Neuter and Return) protocol.

The TNR Protocol aims to improve the lives of stray cats, controlling colonies and avoiding the breeding of these and the birth of kittens on public roads.
The sensitivity of the Council in relation to these animals and, in general, with the animal protection is clear and from AGYA we hope and wish that these conversations bear fruit and that we can count on their economic support and improve, between all of us, their lives.
